I checked this book out at the library and was glad I did so, rather than purchasing it. I already do everything in the book, so there was nothing new for me to learn. I was somewhat disappointed.
I will say that it is a decent reference for those who are just starting out. If you have a bit of time though, you can find a lot of this stuff just browsing the internet.

I was so excited to get this book–only to be disappointed. Most everything in the book I either already knew, or was REALLY common sense. This mom wishes she would have got it from the library. I could’ve saved money on the internet that way! ha ha

Good reference for someone just starting out…….but is not a definite “must have.” You can spend very little time on the internet to find the same and MUCH MORE information for free. I was very disappointed to learn I had already signed up for the same sites mentioned in the book and have been a member for at least 5-6 years on those sites.

I have been making money online since 1998 and am always checking out resources to help me make more. The Mom’s Guide to Earning and Saving Thousands on the Internet offers some terrific savings ideas and resources in one place. It’s especially helpful for busy moms who don’t have time to research and investigate resources themselves.
I was very intersted in the earning aspect especially since it covered surveys and mystery shopping. I still don’t feel this is a great way to earn income from home. I have tested many survey sites and have yet to get paid by the legitimate ones. Turns out I don’t qualify for most surveys I’m sent. (I’m a 40 year old mom of two, married who owns a home…). I’ve gotten a free lunch with mystery shopping, but that won’t pay the mortgage.
If you are looking for great resources and ideas to save money using the Internet, this is a good resource. But if you want to make money, this isn’t your book.
4 Stars The Mom’s Guide to Earning and Saving Thousands on the Internet
This book is a great resource for oodles of websites for almost everything. Over the last few years I have spent a lot of time on the internet and already am aware of most of the content offered, but there was lots of stuff that was new to me as well. I was hoping for a little more on the earning ‘thousands’aspect, but I think that is in part due to limitations on what is available on the internet. Of course, it also depends on how much time you are willing to spend doing these things. Overall, I thought this was a great comprehensive guide to anyone who uses the internet, not just moms.

Narrating with intensity, confidence, and humor, he bases his presentation on strong moral and religious values. His focus is on the attitudes that bring financial stability and progress, not on specific techniques of making money. By saving $2400 a year from age 22 on, through compounding, one would have well over $2 million by age 70. These are interesting motivational tapes. Recommended.AMark Guyer, Stark Cty. Dist. 5 Stars contentment is the key
Dave is preaching some good lessons about life in this book. Values, vision, intensity, patience, wisdomonics (his word)…. but the key to me is contentment. Learn to be happy that you are loved by God, and stop looking at spending money on stuff to make you happy. See yourself as a participant in God’s world doing His will, and stop focusing on yourself. I know this is easier said than done, and especially if you have a family to support (you always want to give them the best stuff). This isn’t your typical financial planning book, or even your typical how to get out of debt book, but it is filled with good thoughts about life in general, and if you live them, Dave promises other problems (e.g., money) will fade away, or at least get under control. I give this a big thumbs up.
5 Stars Must read if you don’t have MORE THAN ENOUGH
Dave’s teaching is practical and common sense. If you follow his plan you will have peace and prosparity. His simple teaching may be scoffed at because it seems common sense, however most people don’t follow this and they suffer. I hope you’ll read it for your benefit. If you want to have more than enough in your financies and in your life, then read this book.
5 Stars Must-read for anyone, great perspective on money and more
In this book Dave really drives it home - it’s all about values, integrity, honesty and money is just an indicator of those. It taught me a lot on how it really works and it does, you can have more than enough! Go get it!
5 Stars Dave Ramsey hits a homerun “It truly is about Integrity”
This book should help just about everybody. Dave’s open and honest text helps the reader look deep inside himself to look not only for finanial peace but peace in knowing that the reader can sleep at night with all the other parts of his life no matter who he or she is or how finacially secure he or she might beRamsey has worked hard at his own success and makes no bones about sharing a life that is more about integrity and doing the right thing than the typical finacial strategy books on the market.His tips are solid as a rock and should not be ignored. Especially in todays enviroment where words like integrity, honesty and courage seem to be set aside for excuses and lies. The book takes Dave’s first book and drives home the behavioral changes that need to take place to be successful in all aspects of life. Great Job Dave and thank you.
